For their paper “The Power of Political Memory: Tracing the Past in Everyday Discourse on the Example of National Socialism in Germany” Anke Fiedler and Julia Traunspurger were awarded the “Top Paper Award” of the Communication History Division at the 71st Annual Conference of the International Communication Association, 27-31 May 2021. In the paper, they ask what role National Socialism still plays in the everyday discourse of Germans today through the analysis of in-depth interviews and focus group discussions that were collected as part of the RePAST project.
